The surf's up in Sweet Valley, and gorgeous Jessica Wakefield is making a big splash with Bill Chase, the hottest surfer in town. But after she tricks him into falling madly in love with her, she ignores him completely.

Cara Walker stretched out on the sand beside Jessica. "Looks like Bill Chase is striking out for greener pasture," she said, smirking.
Jessica frowned. "Doesn't DeeDee ever give up?"
"I don't know," Elizabeth observed. "It looks like Bill is having a pretty good time."
But he's in love with me, not DeeDee, Jessica thought. DeeDee wasn't half as pretty as she was. Was Bill really losing intrest in her?
Impossible!
Abruptly, Jessica stood up and yanked off her sun visor. She shook her hair so that it tumbled over her shoulders, and set off down the beach with a saucy step. She added a slight swing to her hips, for the benefit of Bill Chase.
She smiled. If DeeDee thought she was any match for the Wakefield magic, she had another think coming.
