Princess Dana?
When Elizabeth Wakefield announces that her longtime pen pal, Prince Arthur of Santa Dora, is coming to Sweet Valley for a visit, everyone's excited about meeeting him - except Dana Larson, lead singer of Sweet Valley High's favourite band, the Droids. Dana thinks the only place for royalty is in the history books - until she actually gets to know Prince Arthur, and the sparks begin to fly!
Soon Dana and the Prince have fallen in love. then Arthur suddenly asks Dana to marry him, and she faces the most serious decision of her life. Dana knows she's too young to get married to anyone, much less the Prince of Santa Dora. But if she says no, she might lose him forever.
"I told Lynne three songs," Dana said. "I really should get back to the band."
Prince Arthur's arms remained around Dana for a moment longer. At last he released her, but with obvious reluctance. "Thank you for the dance."
"I . . . I enjoyed it," Dana murmured.
They stepped apart. still staring deep into each other's eyes. Finally, Dana tore her gaze from Arthur's and returned to heplace in front of the microphone.
She checked the playlist, then began belting out "Late Last night," one of her favourite sings. As she sang, she felt euphoric, as if she were floating above the ground.
She hadn't felt this way since . . . since the last time she fell in love, Dana realized with a shock.
Something terrible was happening to her, something terrible - and wonderful.
