Jessica's Secret Diary
A stolen kiss, a broken heart, a lesson in love . . .

Dear Diary,
I'm leaving home. I can't stand it anymore. Elizabeth stole the man I love. I've lost everything to her. I hate being a twin. I hate always being compared to perfect Elizabeth.
Only you know, Diary, just how much she's taken from me. After tonight, I'm not sorry I went behind Elizabeth's back with Jeffery French. I'm not sorry about any of the things I did to her.
Good-bye, Sweet Valley. From now on Jessica Wakefield is going to be one of a kind!

Stepback

On the bench is where it happened, Diary. I knew we shouldn't have gone there. I knew it was a bad idea. But I couldn't help myself. "I love walking on the beach at night," I said, dabbling a bare foot in the cool surf.
"Me too," Jeffery said in a husky voice. "as long as I'm walking with you, Elizabeth."
He pulled me to his warm, strong chest and placed his lips against mine. Oh, Diary. It was the most incredible kiss I have ever had in my entire life. A romance-novel kiss. I was on fire with this delirious, uncontrollable happiness. But suddenly, the kiss changed. A shudder went through Jeffery's body, and his hands tightened on my shoulders.
Jeffery's eyes opened at the same time as mine. In them, I saw the sudden realization that the twin he was kissing was not Elizabeth.
We seperated, and Jeffery looked at me. Then he pulled me toward him again, and kissed me even more passionately.
We were wrong. We knew we were wrong, but we did it anyway.
