And Jeremy's walking around acting like...
Acting like he's in love with her
He's supposed to love me.
Did he forget that?

"You think Jeremy's dating material?" Jessica asked, her voice carefully neutral.
"Most definitely." Jade had a dreamy look on her face. "Cute, sweet... and he's got an amazing body, right?"
"Uh, right." Jessica's heart started racing. "Not that amazing, though," she added just to be on the safe side. No way she wanted Jade to get the slightest idea she still found him attractive.
Jade pushed a lock of straight, black hair out of her face. "If he doesn't ask me out soon, I'm asking him."
Jessica felt her face go slack and all the color rush from her cheeks. There was no way Jade had just said that.
"You wouldn't care if Jeremy and I went out, would you?" Jade added.
Somehow Jessica forced out a laugh, but it sounded more like she was choking.
"Why would I care?" she blurted out. "He's single. As far as I know anyway." She shrugged, hoping she looked just slightly bored. "We're not that close anymore."
Jade's lips turned up in a sarcastic sort of smile.
"That's good because I'd probably date him anyway."
