I would never do anything to hurt Tia, or betray Jeremy.
But I can't deny it anymore -
Somethings happening between me and Tia's boyfriend.
And the worst part is, he's not just Tia's boyfriend.
He's Jeremy's best friend.
"Hello?" Jessica answered.
"Hey," Jeremy said. "I just got out of practice, and I was wondering if you wanted to grab some pizza with me."
"Oh," she said, her tone filled with disappointment. "I can't. I'm sorry. I promised to go to the mall with Tia and Elizabeth."
Jeremy frowned. "That's weird," he said. "I just talked to Trent, and he was on his way to meet Tia."
There was a short pause. "Oh, that's right!" Jessica exclaimed. "I forgot Tia backed out at the last minute. DuhJeremy chuckled. "I know what you mean."
"But Liz is really looking forward to it," Jessica continued, "so I probably shouldn't let her down - especially since Tia pulled the boyfriend trump card this late in the game."
"Yeah," Jeremy said absently, remembering how weird Trent had acted about his plans with Tia. He couldn't put his finger on it, but something seemed off here. Was he just being paranoid, or was he missing something important?
