Valentine's Day at SVMS has everyone seeing red!

It's Valentine's Day and Sweet Valley is being treated to the dance of the decade, courtesy of Young Love, the hottest dating game show on TV. But although the music is cool and the decorations are great, the couples at the dance are totally bizarre.
Jessica Wakefield and her identical twin, Elizabeth, switched identities for the dating game. Now Jessica's trapped in a date with her sister's sort-of-boyfriend, Todd Wilkins, who doesn't even suspect that he's with the wrong girl! Janet Howell is stuck with super geek Donald Zwerling, thanks to Young Love. Maria Slater is actually psyched to be with Patrick Morris, but he only has eyes for Sophia Rizzo. Everyone's with the wrong partner! Can they find true romance before this night to remember becomes a night to forget?

Drew shrugged. "I gotta check to see if it can handle the heavy equipment. For s=after they catch the cheaters."
Cheaters! Elizabeth got to her feet, her heart hammering. If they find out that she'd cheated, what would they do
"Did he say . . . cheated?" Sophia croaked.
Elizabeth had forgotten about her friend. She whirled around. Stay calm, elizabeth ordered herself. "Cheated!" she blustered. "Who would do somthing dumb like that? Didn't they know they could spoil the dance for everybody?" Her voice sounded shaky and cracked to her, but maybe Sophia wouldn't notice.
"I c-can't imagine who would do that. C-can you?" Sophia asked. Elizabeth could see Sophia's legs trembling.
"N-no, I can't," Elizabeth croaked. "Of course I'm innocent," she lied.
"Oh, so am I," Sophia said, sounding shocked that anyone would even consider accusing her. "I'm, like, a hundred percent innocent. Two hundred percent."
There was silence. Elizabeth felt she ought to say something more. "Cheating!" she exclaimed. "And in a TV game show too! What is this world coming to?"
They ought to be, um, tossed in jail for all eternity," Sophia said with feeling, her eyes darting anxiously left and rigt.
Elizabeth sighed loudly. "They certainly should be," she added, crossing her fingers behind her back just in case.
