Is it true about Mom?

Elizabeth took a deep breath. "Mom, did you and Dad fall in love at first sight?"
"How did you two meet?" Jessica asked. "Was it romantic?"
"Or a complete surprise, like a chance encounter in an airport?" Elizabeth added.
Mrs. Wakefield sat up as if to answer, but then she said, "I'm sorry. I am so tired and it's a long story. Could you ask me again tomorrow? Good night, girls."
"Mom! Aren't you going to say good night to Dad>" Jessica cried after her.
"Oh, I almost forgot he was here," Mrs. Wakefield murmured. She stuck her head into the den and called, "Good noght. I'm going right up to bed." Mr. Wakefield glanced up from the basketball game on TV and blew his wife a kiss.
Jessica and Elizabeth watched with a growing sense of dread as their mom left them.
"Did you hear that? She almost forgot Dad was here!" Jessica said.
"And she wasn't excited about telling us how they fell in love, either," Elizabeth whispered.
"That's because she's in love with somebody else!" Jessica whispered back. "We've got to do something before it's too late!"
