All the kids at Sweet Valley Middle School are talking about the big Johnny Buck concert. For the second year in a row, the twins' parents say they are too young to go. Elizabeth is dissapointed, but will do what her parents say. But nothing and no one can stop Jessica from seeing her rock idol - even if it means sneaking out.
Soon Jessica comes up with a plan she knows fool her parents - but it means neglecting her responsibilities. Will Elizabeth, once again, step in and take over for her sister - or will she tell her parents the truth?

Rock and Run!

Jessica plopped onto her twin sister's blue bedspread and pulled her knees up. "How are we going to get to the Buck's concert next Saturday?"
Elizabeth wasn't very surprised. After all, Jessica almost never took no for an answer. Still, she thought her parents had made their feelings pretty clear. "Jessica," she she told her sister, "Mom and Dad aren't punishing us on purpose. They're doing what they think is right, and I, for one, am not about to sneak off behind their backs."
"You can be Miss Goody-Two-Shoes if you want," Jessica announced. "But I'm going to see Johnny Buck in person next week, and no one is going to stop me!"
