Jessica Thought the Girl Looked Familiar . . .

Sitting on the sofa, Jessica turned her attention back to the movie. Three young kids were riding their bikes up a hill when they came upon a strange, errie light behind a tree.
Jessica took a sip of her juice and watched as the three children jumped off their bikes and headed toward the strange light. As they stepped nearer, there was a closeup of their frightened faces.
Suddenly Jessica leapt out of her chair, spilling juice down the front of her robe. "That's her!" she cried. "I can't believe it!"
Jessica knelt in front of the television screen, waiting for wnother closup of the children. Finally she nodded excitedly. "That's Maria!" She pointed to the girl on the screen. "Maria Slater! I just met this girl yesterday!"
Jessica sat back on the carpet, recalling her brief conversation with Maria. What was she doing in Sweet Valley? And why hadn't she revealed her true identity?
