An all-new mom . . .

Brooke Dennis's dream has come true. Her mother, who has been living in Paris, is moving back to Sweet Valley. When she returns, Brooke's mother has a new family - and a new career. It turns out that she is Coco, the incredible new rock singer all of Sweet Valley is talking about!
When Brooke finds out that her mom is the cool new singer, she's estatic - until she learns that she must keep her mother's identity a secret. Coco's agent thinks that if the public finds out that Coco has a family, it will ruin her image.
How is Brooke going to keep something so fabulous a secret - especially when all her friends are going Coco crazy?

Coco Crazy . . .

Brooke's mom went to the stereo and put on a tape. Then she turned to Brooke. "I'm excited to see your reaction," she said.
Brooke sat on the edge of the sofa eagerly listening for the results of her mom's new singing career. She'd heard her mom sing before, of course, but not since she was a little kid, and then her mom had sung lullabies. She had no idea what kind of songs her mother sang now. Golden oldies? Folk music? Jazz? Rythem and blues?
But what she heard was so incredible that at first she couldn't believe it. What she heard was the throaty, sexy sound of Coco singing "Chocolate Kisses for My Baby"!
"Mom," she whispered incredulously. "Are you sure you put on the right tape?"
"That's me, honey," her mom said.
"Thats you? I don't believe it!" Brooke exclaimed. "You're Coco!"
