Jessica Wakefield and her twin sister, Elizabeth, are looking forward to having an exchange student named Giovanna come live with them for three weeks. Jessica can't wait to show the Italian country girl all the great things about Sweet Valley. But when the Wakefields finally meet Giovanna, Jessica is in for a shock. Giovanna is gorgeous and sophisticated - and Sweet valley bores her to death!
WhenGiovanna arrives at Sweet Valley Middle School, shes rude to Jessica's friends in the Unicorn Club, she talks contsantly about how great Italy is, and she flirts with the cutest boys in school. As far as Jessica is concerned, Giovanna has worn out her welcome. How will she ever get through the next three weeks?

"Giovanna!" Elizabeth called, waving. "Here we are!"
Jessica opened her mouth to call out, too, but all that came out was a croak. For once in her life, Jessica was speechless.
Giovanna smiled and walked toward them. She was tall and elegant as a fashion model. She had beautiful olive skin, clear hazel eyes, and long dark hair that swung around her shoulders. To top it off, she was wearing a black leather jacket that Jessica had fallen in love with when she'd seen it in Image magazine.
Jessica swallowed. She could forget about the makeover, and about teaching Giovanna what clothes to wear. Giovanna could probably teach her a thing or two!
