Is there a theif at Sweet Valley Middle School? Things have started disappearing, and the whole school is searching for the culprit. But everyone is shocked when some of the stolen goods turn up in Jessica Wakefield's locker!
Jessica insists that she's been framed, but the only one who believes her is her twin sister, Elizabeth. When Jessica and Elizabeth team up to find the real theif, they can hardly believe what they find out!
Jessica's in big trouble . . .
"Jessica Wakefield," Lila screamed. "I can't believe you would do something like this! And you're supposed to be my friend!"
Jessica shook her head, looking confused. "Lila, I told you I was sorry about what happened in homeroon, but I don't see why you have to have a conniption fit over it-"
"I'll show you what happened in homeroom," Lila cried, so loudly that students in the hallway stopped and turned to see what was happening.
Lila lunged toward Jessica's locker, pushing Jessica out of the way. "What happened in homeroom is that you stole my Watchman!"
"Lila, you must be kidding!" Jessica protested. "Have you lost your mind?"
"No," Lila yelled, "but you've lost a friend!" She reached into the messy top shelf of jessica's locker and fished around. Suddenly she withdrew her hand and held something up for everyone to see. "My Watchman!" she cried triumphantly.
"But . . . " Jessica's voice trailed off. "But . . . Lila, I-I didn't take it! I have no idea how it got there!"
