Lila's in way over her head...

The Unicorns are making a music video! Lila Fowler insists on being the singer, since it's her video camera. But there's one catch: Lila has a terrible voice. And even though Johanna Porter tries her best to coach her, Lila is hopeless. Johanna is shy, but she has a fabulous idea: Johanna will do the real singing from backstage, while Lila lip-synchs on camera!
Their plan works perfectly. The video is so fantastic that the Unicorns submit it to a competition on RockTV, and Lila wins the chance to perform - live! Lila is terrfied. How will she ever get away with this one?

Who is Lila kidding?

"I love you soooooooo," Lila sang in front od the mirror. She held on to the last, long, liquid note of the song.
The voice that filled the room was high and clear. It sounded perfect, beautiful.
The only trouble was, it was Johanna's voice. On tape.
Lila was lip-syncing.
She went over to her tape player and flipped it off with a sigh. Then she sat down on her bed and groaned. "Who am I kidding?" she wailed out loud. "I'll never be able to sing this song."
She closed her eyes and shuddered, thinking of all the bragging she had done. If she backed out now, or made a fool of herself by trying to sing, she'd never live it down.
