Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield are looking forward to the most glorious Christmas ever. The tree is trimmed, the presents are wrapped, and movie star Beau Dillon is coming to town! The actor, who'll be in Sweet Valley to publisize his new movie, has agreed to help Elizabeth raise money for the children's wing of the local hospital. But when the teen star arrives at the Wakefield's house, it's Jessica, not Elizabeth, he meets.
What's the harm in pretending to be your twin? No harm, Jessica thinks - until strange things start happening and three ghostly visitors appear. Is Jessica's imagination working overtime or have the spirits of Christmas past, present, and future come to teach Jessica the lesson of a lifetime?

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHIRISTMAS

Just as Jessica felt herself drifting off, a sharp sound made her whole body start. She stared into the darkness. The room seemed even blacker than usual - the night light in the bathroom must have gone out. Jessica shivered.
She felt disoriented. What time was it? She turned to look at her digital clock. The blue numerals read 12:00.
Midnight. The witching hour, when strange things happened.
Jessica felt her body shake slightly.
Her heart seemed to jump into her throat. Too frightened to shriek, she turned slowly to look. What she saw made her draw back in horror.
A little girl stood at the foot of her bed.
"Who are you?" Jessica gulped.
The child smiled. "I am the Ghost of Christmas Past."
