Now that summer's over, identical twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield can't wait to get back to school. The only question is: Which school will they be going to?
Sweet Valley middle School has become so overcrowded, half the seventh and eighth graders will be moved to a new junior high. And nobody knows who will stay and who will go!The twins and their friends plan to spend what might be a final night together, camping out and playing Truth or Dare.
But these friends who thought they knew one another so well are about to discover a truth more shocking than any dare . . .
Jessica was used to being very popular. What if she was stuck in a new school and nobody liked her? What if Elizabeth was her one and ony friend? That was a horrible thought.
A chill crawled over her skin.
Jessica ran over a bunch of faces in her mind - people at SVMS who had a reason not to like the Unicorns and peolpe who had reasons not to like her in particular. The list was longer than Jessica liked to admit. What if she were put in a school with only those people and no Unicorns?
Jessica shuddered.
Well, what could she do about it? How could she make sure that she didn't have any enemies going into eighth grade?
Suddenly Jessica was struck with an ideqa. If she wanted to have lots of friends when she started school, she should invite lots of people to do something fun. And she knew just the thing: the Unicorn party. That way the whole club would get a good rep as fun, friendly people even before the summer was over.
But what if the Unicorns want to keep the party Unicorns only? she wondered suddenly.
Nah, she reasoned. They're the ones who are so psyched to meet new people. They'll thank me for this.
