Girls, boys, and ghosts . . .

Identical twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield can't believe they're finally at sleep-away camp. Even though there are no boys, and Elizabeth's friend Grace had to cancel at the last minute, it will be two whole weeks of fun, fun, fun!
The twins waste no time diving into their favourite activities. Jessica begins to arrange a rendezvous with the boys' camp across the lake. Elizabeth spends much of her time horse-back riding and making new friends. But the real excitement starts when Grace turns up in the most unexpected place.
Should the twins take a chance and hide Grace? If they do and they're caught, camp may just turn out to be the worst two weeks of their lives!

Big Secret or Big Trouble

Creeping noislessly as the Indians in Crying Moon's story, the girls moved toward the cabin. The door creaked open. Clasping hands, Jessica, Elizabeth, and Amy stepped silently into the inky darkness. As their eyes adjusted to the light, the girls could see that they were in a small room.
"There's nothing here," Elizabeth said nervously. "Let's go back now."
"Do you think we should see what's in the next room?" Jessica asked, peering toward it.
"No!" Amy and Elizabeth said.
"All right," Jessica agreed, "let's get out of here."
The girls turned, eager to make their escape, when suddenly a bright light appeared on the front door.
"What's that?" Jessica said, her voice quavering.
Then Elizabeth screamed. Outlined against the yellow glow was a huge dark shadow, blocking their way to safety. For a few seconds the girls stood there, paralyzed. Then, with screams and shrieks, they flew out the door and ran down the hill.
