The Radcliffe List

One hundred Radcliffe publishing students were assigned the task of creating a list of the 20th century's top 100 novels written in English. Like the Modern Library list, the students' lists were selected from 400 possible titles. Instructors of the course compiled and quantified the students' lists, creating the final Radcliffe Publishing Course list below.

The Great Books Foundation
50th Anniversary Series

The following 50th Anniversary Series includes readings from all time periods organized to stimulate thinking and discussion around particular topics. The Great Books Foundation offers people of all ages a way to read and discuss outstanding works of literature. A nonprofit educational organization with headquarters in Chicago, the Foundation also publishes a Great Books series, a Freedom Documents series, and a reading series for children (k-12). The Foundation conducts training in the Shared Inquiry method throughout the United States and abroad.
