Ohio Trip 2000

Here are some pictures from my trip to Ohio - summer of 2000

Went to Marysville Ohio the summer of 2000 with my riding buddy Eric to attend the Honda Homecoming. Was it fun? Heck, it was a hoot! (sorry, bad joke) Marysville is a little north of Columbus, about 700 miles from where I live in Connecticut. We made it out there in 13 hours of "gas and food break only" riding, and we made it back in 14 hours of the same (except with some bad weather and highway construction thrown in to slow us down). Long days in the saddle, but they were enjoyable.

Ohio roads are all pretty much the same - long, straight, infrequently marked, and flat. This makes getting lost expected and normal. Since I put us in a campground 40 miles away from the event, we got do do a lot of, ah, "exploring" (aka getting lost) each day, on our way to and from the rally.

The rally was fun, but really the trip and the local riding was far more enjoyable than the actual rally was.

Many thanks to Eric for going with me on the trip. Ok, it was his idea.

Last note: I did some experimenting with if/where I cropped the pictures, so you will notice that some of them are essentially the same, just drilled in some.
