Prague, OK National Shrine of the Infant Jesus
Like Prague, Czech Republic, Prague, Oklahoma has a shrine to the infant Jesus. The literature posted inside the church where the shrine is housed discusses how this came to be, but also notes that having the shrine in Oklahoma was useful when the Cold War stopped people from visiting Prague. The exhibit also points out that there are only two Catholic shrines in the US; the other one is in DC. Lincoln County (1/2008)
