Students learn multiple areas in horse care and horses themselves.  
Research with diseases and the treatment and prevention of them are 
discussed.  Construction of barns and stables are planned and drawn 
out.  General care of horses, including proper feeding, are also 
mentioned and learned about.  Interested students who are members 
of the FFA can compete on a horse judging team.  On the team, students 
learn how to place classes of horses and orally give reasons why they 
placed them that particular way.
