Students are taught the proper ways for shoeing horses. They learn the tools that are needed in the job of a farrier. Heavy emphasis is placed on the use of the correct tools and the correct handling of the horse. The different horse shoes and pads are discussed and studied within the classroom. In this class, students even work "hands-on" as they shoe a horse as part of the classroom experience.
