This class concentrates on the care and handling of larger animals like cows, goats, and sheep. Careful attention is paid to sanitation and proper cleanout of stalls. Projects are done with livestock. Some of these projects include breeding pigs and raising them for food, raising and training goats, and taking care of miniature horses. This class provides an excellent source of "hands-on" learning and helps students to really get a feel for the amount of care and attention these large animals require.
