Early Morning

Great is the Lord and worthy of Praise,
as I concentrate on His goodness.
Early Morning I wake to a new day,
given to me, for a moment I find rest.

It's uncommonly quiet this morning,
waiting for the sun to rise.
I find silence and peace,
with God's love in this day.

I take a deep breath,
and lift up His name.
I dwell on Him, the Holy one,
as I start to pray.

I am now in His presence.
His Peace and Joy flow
through me, as I give
all my burdens to Him.
I am very aware of
His presence, and know,
in me He lives.

The Praise keeps coming,
this early morning.
I know I will dwell with
Him someday, for all
eternity.

This early morning I find
newness, and a reason
to live for Him.
I welcome Him into
my life for all seasons.

In good times and bad times,
he takes care of me.
My lord and Saviour,
Jesus Christ.
