The Scrolls of Renia
In which Laura Hedgemont, a not-so-normal girl from a not-so-normal world discovers a magical portal into the world of Tyrinn through a magical lake inhabited by singing trout; meets a murdered prince named Lawdon, an outcast elf named Ecalia, a roguish furry creature named Onayk, an invisible pixie named Morell and becomes one of their own; and is confronted with the task of searching the world-as-they-know-it for keepers of the four elemental artifacts of Yrter Tyrinn himself!
In this, their second quest, Laura celebrates her fifteenth birthday which is interrupted by a visit from Trdel, mischief-maker extraordinaire and servant of Lucian, the evil warlord who has overtaken the land of Renia and murdered Prince Lawdon so to do it. Wizard Trafini, creator of Tyrinn's magical portals and advisor to the five directs them towards the land of Renia to find the artifact of air, and forces Lawdon to face his demons . . .
