The Organization's Progress Towards Achieving its Mission
During the past few years of it’s existence and limited resources the ECOA, Inc. have registered considerable achievements to it’s credit.
Since its was establishment the ECOA, Inc. has been involved in helping over 1600 homeless children with food and clothing.
In August 1999, the ECOA helped in sponsoring a University student from Ethiopian to come to the United States and receive a much-needed heart surgery.
In Novermber 1998, ECOA took part in the First International AIDS Conference in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. In an effort to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and the intergration of the growing number of AIDS orphans into their communities. The founder and president of ECOA Demerew Yohannes was one of the honory guest speaker at the conference.
In 1998 the organization assisted communities in the town of Wolenchite and Holota with water purification.
Over the years, the organization has collected over 500 books and 26 encyclopedia. These books will be shipped to Ethiopia once the we receive the fund for shipment
