Theresa has been in love with Ethan since the second she saw his picture in the paper. Ethan is the son of Julian and Ivy Crane. The Cranes are the owners of Harmony. They're rich and powerful. Theresa's mother, Pilar is the housekeeper for the mansion. She's like a mother to Ethan and his aunt Sheridan ( who is only 3 years older than him ), and is a good friend to Ivy. Ethan was away at law school most of the time. When he came home for holidays, Threresa would ask her mother all these questions about Ethan. She would sit at her door step hoping that Ethan would come for her. But, there's one small problem, Gwen Hotchkiss, Ethan's girlfriend. When Ethan finally came back from law school, Theresa knew this was her chance to win Ethan's heart. After years of dreaming, wishing, and cliping photos out of magazines her dream was about to come true. She knew that the day they met would be the best day of her life ( so she thought ). Well, she did meet him, but every time she saw him there was some kind of accident. That lead him to believe that she was stalking him. The 1st accident was when she spilled blue paint all over him at the carnival. She was reading some article about the Cranes, and bumped into a ladder with a bucket of paint on the edge. Only thing is she didn't know it was him. Then, Theresa's brother Luis got her a job at the Burger Hut. When she saw Ethan there, and he yelled at her for the paint, she tried to stop him from leaving, totally forgetting the tray of milkshakes in her hand. She end up spilling them all over Ethan. Then, to get the stain off his shirt, she decided to through a bucket of water on it. Well, it wasn't really water, it was barbeque sauce. Later that day, Ethan proposed to Gwen, but she didn't except ( they still go out though ). Luis got Theresa another job at the fish canary ( yuk! ). The Cranes happen to own the canary, and Mr. Crane wanted Ethan and Gwen to do the inspection. When Ethan saw Theresa, he was about to leave, Theresa went to stop him but slipped, and pushed a button that spilled fish guts on him. After that he was determined to find out who she was and have her arrested under the new stalker laws. But that wasn't the last accident. Ethan was enrolled in the Harmony Hunk Contest where Theresa was gonna help out. He was running late and needed someone to rub oil on his back. Never seeing Theresa's face, he asked her to put some on him. Well, by mistake she grabbed the wrong bottle. She ended up rubbing heat liniment all over his back. Now he really wanted to have her locked up. Right after that, Theresa was offered a job as Ivy Crane's personal secretary. Of course, Theresa excepted. She went to work the next day with a disguise. It was so good, her mother didn't even recognise her at first. Meanwhile, Ethan and Ivy had hired a private investigater, Frank Lomax to find the stalker.Well,eventually he found out who she was and exposed her to Ethan in front of Ivy and Gwen.Ethan told Frank that he was wrong,and Theresa is not the stalker.He did it so Pilar wouldn't loose her job. He told Theresa afterwards to stay as far away from him as possible. Well, Ethan overheard Theresa and Whitney talking later on that day. She was crying and saying how stupid Ethan must think she is. Ethan felt bad and went over to talk to her. Ethan bumped into a man carrying a tray of eggs and they fell on him.He accused Theresa of stalking him again.He was gonna get her put away, but Whitney came to her rescue. There was a camera where it happened. She asked the man that owned the Chicken Coop if she could borrow it. She showed it to Ethan and he realised that it was his fault that the eggs fell on him. He went over to Theresa'a to apologize. That was the beginning of a great relationship.
