Keeping Your Pet Safe

Pet theft is a huge problem and needs to be stopped. Every single day around the world, hundreds of animals are stolen and sold to animal research labs, only to die a slow, agonizing death. Researchers do behind locked, guarded doors what anyone else would be jailed for!! - and its all legal because these people are scientists!! What a sad excuse!!

Together you and I CAN make a difference!! When people band together and form a group, things CAN change!! With your support, an end to pet theft and animal research is not far off!!

Below I've compiled a list of things you can do at the bare minimum to help save your animals!! In the near future, I'll make another list of more things you can do to help.. keep checking back!
- Make sure your pets shots/license tags are up-to-date.
- Keep your pet on a leash at all times when you're outside.
- If you'll be leaving your property for a few hours, keep your animals inside.
- Make sure you have up-to-date photos/descriptions of all of your pets (markings, scars, etc..)
- Either get your pet tattooed or micro-chipped.
- If you must sell your pet, RESEARCH the buyer as much as possible.
- If you cannot care for your animal anymore, DO NOT turn it loose on the streets. This is obvious, but its done more than you'd think!
- Always keep a collar (with the appropriate tags) on your pet.
- If you must sell your animal, DO NOT use a 'Free to Good Home' ad. These are like a welcome mat to B-dealers (people who buy pets and sell them to research labs).
- If you live in an area that is frequented by hunters, make sure they know you're coming (and that you have some sort of reflective gear on your dog!!). You wouldn't believe how many pets get shot per year by hunters who didn't take a second look!
