Last Chance for Animals

Started in late 1985 Last Chance for Animals (LCA) has been a driving force in the fight for animal rights. LCA president and founder Chris DeRose and his team of volunteers have put behind bars some of the worst offenders in the Los Angeles area, including USDA-licensed B dealers!

Their website http://www.lcanimal.org has undergone several layout changes within the past year, with the most recent being the best. User-friendly and very informative, the LCA website offers plenty of information on a wide range of issues: everything from pet theft to bullfighting to vivisection, and more! The site also includes several new features - among them are a search engine, detailed volunteering information, and even a step-by-step guide on what to do should your pet go missing!

If you want to get involved with helping the animals you should definately sign up for the LCA E-Mail Alerts. Whenever an event arises that requires public participation, you receive a detailed email message that outlines exactly what you can do to help - whether it be show up at an event and (non-violently) protest, or write companies to show your disapproval with their treatment of animals. If you live in the Los Angeles area, there is even an online volunteer form where you can show your support by donating time to the non-profit animal welfare organization!

Bonus: LCA does not sell, trade or distribute your personal information to third parties. This website is definately one worth bookmarking and visiting again.
