File this one under 'Odd'. Being an art lover, I'm always on the look-out for new project ideas. I picked up the latest issue of Tattoo Savage magazine and a certain article caught my eye - "Attention Animal Rights Activists!" Below is a copy of the article:
Cars are certainly getting meatier and meatier. General Motors, the auto company, has recently merged a partnership with Hormel, the Spam producing group. This merging will produce a truly unique detail in the creation of the new cars on the line. The animal protein collagen will be taken from the byproducts of turkey and pork, in order to make the sand mold that is used for casting metal parts. Unlike toxic molds used in the past, this new bonding will produce less pollution, according to Joel Johnson, the president of Hormel.
      I emailed GM immediately and this is what I got back:
