I want to tell you about a great group of cyberfriends in a webring 
called Silent World.  Although I am a hearing person, as are others
in the group..Most are living in a Silent World..The world of the 
Deaf and hard of hearing.  Having a deaf friend, who can hear 
with the use of a hearing aid, I joined the group to learn better 
how to cope with a dear friend. I wanted to understand better 
how to communicate and know how to help her with her handicap.

I have gained so much knowledge of the problems the hoh face in 
daily life. I have also learned how much courage it takes for these
people to live day to day life. I feel I have been rewarded just 
having these wonder group of people in my life. 

We share our problems of other issues also, and I know if I am 
depressed or have a problem, each member is there to lift me up
and see me through my daily struggles. We share the good times
as well. We  laugh, love, cry together. We also share jokes, and 
stories of humor, talk about our kids, our hopes and dreams and
careers, spouses, and life in general. We are a family of friends.

Whether you are a hearing person or have a slight loss or if you
are deaf, you will gain something from being a part of our group.
