Sour Grapes
by Kalliroscope

The Jellicle Moon is shining bright
But it’s just the same moon that the humans see
What’s so special about it?
The Junkyard glitters with a thousand eyes
Well, not quite, but you know what I mean
But what’s so great about a pile of trash?
What’s so wonderful about this place, anyway?
What is so lovely about this trash dump
That a colony of cats sing about it
A colony of crazy humans write about it
A colony of murderers keep trying to take it over
What’s so special about a heap of rubbish?
What’s so great about a shiny moon?
Why would anyone want to be a Jellicle Cat, anyway?
The Jellicles aren’t the gods of this world
The Jellicles aren’t divine
The Jellicles are condescending
Annoying
Conceited
Hypocrites, all!
Obviously the Jellicles aren’t all the brightest
They wouldn’t even let me be one.
