Millionaire industrialist Harvey Firestone originally created Firestone Country Club in 1928 for his employees. Completely redesigned in 1959 by Robert Trent Jones, Firestone's South Course has become one of the premier stops on the PGA Tour. In 1960, the South Course played host to the PGA Championship, and is presently the home of the NEC World Series of Golf. Every August, top professionals from around the world come to Akron, Ohio to face the challenge of one of the most demanding courses in the world.

Signature Hole Comments: Number 16 is a long par-5. Most players hold back on their second shot to get more control with a full shot on the third.
