LinksLS Features Wish List

Here I'm going to be adding features that I think are necessary/would be great in a future edition of LinksLS!!!!

Wish List

• Comin' w/LS2001!!! Course Designer- I've seen some pretty amazing jobs done with the JN course designer of some historic golf courses that'll probably never be done for Links without a designer..
• Thunder/Lightning- Horn will sound(like on PGA Tour)-will have option to continue or quit!!
• Green Speed controlled with a slider Stimpmeter scale.
• Happy Gilmore and TinCup animations..Happy Gilmore, Shooter McGavin, Roy Macalvoy!!
• Divot marks in the fairway and rough from previous rounds..could be turned off.
• Comin' w/LS2001!!! 3D Green models
• Camera that would allow golfer in fairway to see the breaks in the green, so he knows if he can be aggresive or bail out to a specific spot.
• Option to move swingmeter to read greens when putting.
• Real working leaderboards in the background (not just the basic "clipart leaderboards!")
• Left-handed animations (Phil Mickelson..)
• Skills Challenge MOP (like on TV)
• Downloadable real-time weather and wind conditions for courses. Like what is available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000..If it's raining in Washington D.C., and you're playing at Congressional, then it would be raining!!
• Comin' w/LS2001!!! Improved Internet Play and MSN Gaming Zone(faster)
• Better crowd...have it look more realistic looking
• Comin' w/LS2001!!! More Courses--maybe 2 or 3 libraries a year..
• Changing weather conditions- Would be cool to have it rain during the round, and greens would soften as a result..
• Choose time of day during round setup!! dawn, afternoon, dusk..Would have dew in the morning, and sky would match day type. As round progress', sky would get brighter if it's in the morning, darker if late afternoon!!!
• Driving Range
• Moving water
• Slope and Rating given to all the Courses
• More Camera Options for Replays
• Ability to watch saved games from a Spectator's view.
• Let humans play w/generated players in Virtual tourneys
• Ability to edit players' pants, shoes, hats' colors, etc., personalized clothing-Tiger Woods, P.Stewart..
• More cameras..and better working--hate having to redraw for correct look
• More pin positions- at least 6..and ability to make our own.
• Ability to use recorded rounds in match play
• Comin' w/LS2001!!! More PGA Tour, celebrity, LPGA, Seniors, past and present animatons..(could even sell 15-20 of them as an add-on..)
• Club and Caddy Add-Ons..Fluff, Titleist, Taylor Made, Callaway clubs,..
• Have the virtual tournament more realistic by allowing tournaments without a human player. In other words the "tour" would play every week that the real PGA tour plays; even whey I can't play some weeks.
• More PGA Tour tournament courses..Then have the real players and their real scores that I can play against in a PGA Tour tournament mode.
• Club distances should vary w/level of play
• Player able to walk the course..
• flock of geese overhead...would be a lot better than the Microsoft blimp
• Online opponents shouldn't be able to see which club, and your swing!!
• Have the option to "finish out" short putts on post-shot dialogs
• Ability to concede putts in match play
• Online ability to setup your shot while it's opponents' turn
• Option to send chat message to specific golfer or to everyone
• Ability to take out the pin when chipping or putting from off the green.
• On opponents post-shot dialog box, have option to concede a putt in match play.
• Ability to change/edit players reactions.
• Ability to create/edit Animations
• Variable Rough Length, and different lies in the rough.
• Different kinds of balls (balata, 2 piece, distance, wound..)
• More Virtual tourney stats
• Ability to continue recording rounds after a crash
• Separate player/course stats for different swing methods--Powerstroke wrecks havoc on my 2 click greatness!
• Course Overhead..not just each holes, but entire course
• Better Course Stats where Average Course Scores aren't affected by dropping out of a round midway..(ex. Avg. 18 hole score=38...i don't think so..)
• Ability to use gimmies in recorded rounds
