Hunched beneath the pelting probes of water
which descend upon you from the hazy, light streaked sky,
Your mind is filled with the dismal debris of anger,
And you search your heart for a way to forgive.
The feelings take you over, and consume you,
Causing deep within your heart a churning hunger
for comfort which seems not to be found.
Don’t give in to the voicious brute of hatred,
Don’t long for someone to hold your hand.
Lean instead upon the Lord Jesus,
My rock, my foundation on which I cling,
depend upon the Lord, my strength, my song, and my redeemer.
Pray from the fountain of your greif,
Pour out to him your trouble and your worry,
Repent of your sins and ask him for the strength
To forgive, and to forget like He did,
To live and to love each one you meet.
Ask him to guide your footsteps and to carry you,
And live in the solace of his merciful compassion,
Delight in his never ending love.
For He will never leave you standing in a pit of fear,
he will never leave you lonley, or hungry.
Nomatter what you do He’ll love you still.
