Mother's Love

A sacred bond of trust and love,
strong as steel, soft as a dove.
Treasured memories,time since past,
cherished moments,unsurpassed.
Warm the blanket,wrapped in arms,
a mothers touch, you're safe from harm.
Soothing songs,sung to sleep,
flowing fountain,love runs deep.
Fears forgotten,eyes shine bright,
caressed in caring,sleep well tonight.

(By Frekosuava)

I would like to extend a special Thanks to Frekosuava
for this beautiful poem. I signed his guestbook and said
I liked his poetry and told him about losing my Mom and off
the top of his head he wrote this for me to use on this page.

This page I dedicate to my Mom who we just lost on December6,1999.
Three weeks before Christmas we received a call from the Nursing Home
she had been in for seven years, telling us she had two major strokes
within one hour. They said she would probably not make the day,but she
lasted for one more week.We had to decide to just let her go because she
could not take in anything by mouth and her quality of life before the
stroke was not very good. Eight years ago she had a stroke which left her
with severe dimentia and she had Osteoporosis really bad and fell and broke
two hips within a three month span,so we had no choice but to put her into
a nursing home where she could receive 24 hour care. Due to the dimentia she
was confined to a wheelchair for the last seven years and she did not know
who we were anymore. Now she is in a better place with no pain or suffering,
and she is with my Dad forever and ever. We love you and miss you very much.

"MEMORIES"

The memories we hold deep within our heart,
can bring us joy, or tear us apart.
They surface when we're lonely, they make us cry,
As we sort through painful memories, of days gone by.
They can cause such sadness and heartache too,
We even wonder at times if we'll make it through.
The memories are our past, we never let them go,
They are also our future to help us grow.
Memories within the heart, always stay,
But given time, the pain, will go away.
Give yourself the time, for when heartache is real
You need to grieve before wounds can heal.
Then you can look back, once in awhile,
And memories will be there to remember with a smile.
They'll bring you comfort, there'll be no more pain,
And your heart will be free....to love again.

I Smiled Again!

The tears flow softly down my cheek.
Is this a sign of being weak?
No one knows the hurting of my heart.
Where do I begin, oh, where do I start?
I feel this so often day after day...
Wishing it all would just go away.
Do I dare enter this room once again?
Where my happiness ended in pain.
To give away what's left of my heart...
To take a chance and have you part
Being alone was not for me
Come in Angel, the drinks are free!
But wait, is that laughter I hear?
A smile peaking through a tea
To good friends and happiness.
You have all gave to me joyous bliss.
I look forward to a familiar face...
When I become an Angel in my safe place.

Wonderful Mother

God made a wonderful mother.
A mother who never grows old
He made her smile of the sunshine,
and He moulded her heart of pure gold.
In her eyes He placed bright roses.
You see,God made a wonderful mother,
and he gave that dear mother to me.

Abraham Lincoln

A mother holds her children's hands for a little while and their hearts forever!

Realization

Close your eyes to the reflections of the past.
Lock your heart from the shattered dreams, not meant to last.
Discard the key of the painful memories.
Once again, the image of your face slowly fades,
but only for a brief peaceful moment.
Carefully I open, ever so cautiously, and as I see the moon and stars above,
a feeling of relief and peace embark on my mind, as the reflection of your face appears.
Once again I feel and sense peace within myself.
For I now realize it's not loving you that pains me, It's losing you that hurts.

Peace

One of the greatest ladies died today.
My pain it won't go away.
She lived to love, and she loved to tease.
My pain, our pain, please go away.
Her eyes grew dull from the hurt and the pain.
Her heart grew lonely, she knew she was slipping away.
My pain, our pain it just won't go away.
Now her pain is gone, her rest is here,
now we're learning to share her peace, with a smile and a tear.
She sleeps in peace, and has God's guidence and care.
Her pain is gone forever, and our loss we must face.
Someday we can say, my pain, our pain is fading away....

(Cassie)

I would like to extend a special Thanks to Cassie for allowing
me to use these two poems she wrote about her Grandmother.

This music is subject to change, this is one of my favorite songs,
My mom absolutely loved Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdink.
One of my fondest memories of her was coming home one day,
She was cleaning my brothers room and dancing with the dust mop,
to their music on the record player. Her favorite song was called,
"She's A Lady," by Tom Jones. If anyone knows where I can find the
midis to any of their songs, please email me.
My mom,"Se's A Lady"..........................
