Today all scouts continue scheduling their patrol activities. They choose from art, different crafts, self-defense (these and others held at the Kross), archery, fencing, water sports, pioneering, orienteering, various team sports, physical fitness, the Atholl experience and more. I have tried to show you many of these activities.
On Thursday night the staff had a more formal dinner, in our dinning tent, the Robert Burns dinner. The special meal included haggis, which was paraded in with a bag pipe escort, and speeches and poetry. After dinner a Ceilidh was held at the Kross for the scouts, and at the staff club for the adults and staff. Dancing and entertainment marked the evening. At the kross many of the scouts performed.
Many of the scouts are creating friendships that will result in the home stays after the jamborette.
Enjoy the new photos and keep those letters coming, the scouts enjoy receiving them, even though some of them need a kick to get them to respond. I download and print email each morning and it’s delivered to the scouts immediately. Email for scouts other than those from our unit is handled the same way.
