Our Final Days At Blair
The scouts all enjoyed the last few days at Blair. Some found friendships, newly formed, now ending. Many addresses were exchanged, many hugs, kisses, and tears also. Some resorted to roughhousing as a way to disguise the feelings parting was bringing.
We ended our stay with a game day and a closing campfire. Many of the scouts were looking forward to the back end home stays, and most of all hot showers, beds, and laundering their clothes.
The taking down of the camp was almost too much for some camp. What had become a small town disappeared in just a few hours.
This site will continue to grow as more pictures become available. Many scouts both from Connecticut and Scotland are going to be sending me pictures, as they develop them, and they will be added to the site.
;At this time I have asked all the Connecticut/New York scouts to write up their take on the experience. To all Scottish, American, and others, who were part of the Blair experience, please feel free to email your thoughts on Blair. All submissions will be added to the site.
To those parents of my Connecticut scouts, yes, I am in another picture. This one is with one of my new "daughters", Agnes, from Poland. As Joan found out upon her arrival at Blair, she now has three new ones. As Susan said upon their meeting,"I'm your new daughter, it was an easy pregnancy." Susan is hosting Dan, may he survive it.
