He Did This Just For You

Isaiah 52, 53

13 ¶ Behold, My Servant shall rule well; He shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
14 Just as many were astonished at You (so much was the disfigurement from man, His appearance and His form from the sons of mankind);
15 so He sprinkles from many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at Him; for they will see that which was not told to them; yea, what they had not heard, nor understood.
1 Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground; He has no form nor majesty that we should see Him, nor an appearance that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not.
4 Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, each one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted; yet He opened not His mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before its shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people He was stricken.
9 And He put His grave with the wicked, and with a rich one in His death; although He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to crush Him; to grieve Him; that He should put forth His soul as a guilt-offering. He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify for many; and He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide to Him with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul to death; and He was counted among the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.

Philippians 2

5 For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God,
7 but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth;
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 ¶ Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Galatians 3

12 But the Law is not of faith; but, "The man who does these things shall live in them."
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone having been hanged on a tree");
14 so that the blessing of Abraham might be to the nations in Jesus Christ, and that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
22 But the Scripture shut up all under sin, so that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under Law, having been shut up to the faith about to be revealed.
24 So that the Law has become a trainer of us until Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But faith coming, we are no longer under a trainer.
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many as were baptized into Christ, you put on Christ.
28 There cannot be Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is no male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.

John 3

15 . . . even so must the Son of man be lifted up,
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
18 He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

John 10

7 Then Jesus said to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture.
10 The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
12 But he who is a hireling and not the shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away. And the wolf catches them and scatters the sheep.
13 The hireling flees, because he is a hireling and does not care for the sheep.
14 I am the Good Shepherd, and I know those that are Mine, and I am known by those who are Mine.
15 Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.
16 And I have other sheep who are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one Shepherd.
17 Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I might take it again.
18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down from Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it again. I have received this commandment from My Father.

John 20

26 And after eight days the disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace to you!
27 Then He said to Thomas, Reach your finger here and behold My hands; and reach your hand here and thrust it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!
29 Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me you have believed. Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed.
30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book.
31 But these are written so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life in His name.

Acts 4

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel,
9 if we are examined today on a good work for an infirm man, by what this one has been healed,
10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name does this man stand before you whole.
11 This is the Stone which you builders have counted worthless, and He has become the Head of the Corner.
12 And there is salvation in no other One; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
13 But seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and perceiving that they were unlearned and uneducated men, they marveled. And they recognized them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man who was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it .

Romans 10

3 For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness for everyone who believes.
5 For Moses writes of the righteousness which is of the Law, "The man who does those things shall live by them."
6 But the righteousness of faith says this: "Do not say in your heart, Who shall ascend into Heaven?" that is, to bring Christ down;
7 or "Who shall descend into the deep?"; that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart"; that is, the word of faith which we proclaim;
9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame."
12 ¶ For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call on Him.
13 For everyone, "whoever shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without preaching?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!"
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"
17 Then faith is of hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Ephesians 2

1 And He has made you alive , who were once dead in trespasses and sins,
2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience;
3 among whom we also had our way of life in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us
5 (even when we were dead in sins) has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),
6 and has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
1 John 1 5 ¶ And this is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

1 John 2

21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and know that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He who denies the Father and the Son is antichrist.
23 Everyone who denies the Son neither has the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father.
24 Therefore what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you will abide in both the Son and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that He has promised us: everlasting life.

1 John 3

23 And this is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
24 And he who keeps His commandment dwells in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit which He gave to us.

1 John 4

7 ¶ Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God.
8 The one who does not love has not known God. For God is love.
9 In this the love of God was revealed in us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation concerning our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
14 ¶ And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God has in us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
17 ¶ In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, that as He is, so also we are in this world.
18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He who fears has not been perfected in love.
19 We love Him because He first loved us. 20 If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar. For if he does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
21 And we have this commandment from Him, that he who loves God should love his brother also.

1 John 5

1 ¶ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves him who has been born of Him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.
4 For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.
5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 ¶ This is He who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by the water and blood. And the Spirit is He who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness on the earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three are into the one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God which He has testified about His Son.
10 ¶ He who believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself. He who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he does not believe the record that God gave of His Son.
11 And this is the record, that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13 I have written these things to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Titus 3

4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 that being justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

1 Peter 1

10 ¶ About which salvation the prophets sought out and searched out, prophesying concerning the grace for you;
11 searching for what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ made clear within them, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow.
12 To them it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us, they ministered the things which are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you in the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
13 ¶ Therefore girding up the loins of your mind, being sober, perfectly hope for the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
14 as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance,
15 but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy in all conduct,
16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to the work of each one, pass the time of your earthly residence in fear,
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;
20 indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times for you,
21 those believing in God through Him, He who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Purifying your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,
23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living word of God, and abiding forever.
24 ¶ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls out,
25 but the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the Word preached as gospel to you.
