-Terran Strategy-
Wraith attack | Marine Attack

Wraith Attack

  • The Wraith Rush is a strategy I had done to me a while back. It takes some skill to pull of but can be even more effective than the mutalisk rush.

  • First start of by getting 7 scv's. Then build a supply depot. After that is finished send this scv scouting. See if they are going to rush. If they are you might think about building up the defenses in your town.

  • If not there are two things you can do. Try for the wraith rush, or if you have not been seen yet, try to build a base in the back of their town. You can look for the instructions on that down the page.

  • Here we will continue on the wraith rush. In your main base get all the gasses going at full blast (3 scv’s per geyser). While your gas is building up enough to get a factory, build an academy. This will enable you to get a comsat at your main base which can help to keep tabs on what the enemy is doing.

  • Build the factory when you have enough gas for it. If you have some money you might want to consider expanding, this will help if the wraith rush does not succeed. When the factory is finished build at least two starports. Three would be best. On at least one of the starports build a control tower.

  • When this is finished research cloak as many opponents do not have detectors except in the form of emplacements. Start building wraiths at each starport and build supply depots so you production wont be bogged down. Once you have reached 6 wraiths run to the back of their town and start taking out their peons.

  • If they send forces to oppose you cloak and try to attack these forces. If the opponent is Zerg, try to take out the overlords seeing as they are the main detectors and if they are lost the opponent will have to waste their time building overlords to get their population limit back up.

  • If the attack seems to be working build more wraiths to reinforce your troops. If it is not try switching strategies. Getting a group of goliath’s, tank’s and marine’s seems to be a good attack.

    Marine Attack
The "Marine Rush" is a good tactic as long as you do it quick and -strong.  There are many variations of this rush, varying from groups of medics, marines, firebats, which takes quite a while, or maybe just a mass of marines going solo.  Here is the step by step process of the pure "Marine Rush" strategy.
If you are playing a money map, You will be able to speed the process up.

  •     Build SCV #5.

  •     Build SCV #6.

  •     Build SCV #7.

  •     Build a Barracks.

  •     Build SCV #8.

  •     Scout for the enemy.

  •     Build a Supply Depot.

  •     Build SCV #9 and Marine (1).

  •     Keep building Marines and about 5 to 6 more SCVs.

  •     When you have a group of 12 Marines send them into your opponents town.

  •     While they are attacking you can do a tactic similar to that of the U.T.B., here's how:

  •     While Marines are attacking send in 3 SCVs out of the enemies sight and build 1 Barracks and 2 Bunkers.

  •     Continue building Marines and fill those Bunkers.

  •     If they are fending you off, go for Tanks and rip the last limb off of them.

  •     That is the "Marine Rush". (With a dash of U.T.B.)
