Murder of Woman Found Dead Behind Bar Still Unsolved

On March 13, 1991, Twenty-three year old Wendy Lee Madden’s body was discovered behind a local bar in Pawtucket named Jan’s Place (it has since been torn down). Wendy was an occasional patron to Jan’s Place and may have been there on March 11, 1991. Police are not sure of any other locations she may have been at prior to her murder.Wendy left her house that night on March 11, 1991 to walk to the store to buy cigarettes and was seen in the area of Cross Street and Railroad Street on the Pawtucket/Central Falls town line at 11:15 PM. She was wearing a short black leather jacket, a black shirt, blue jeans, and cream colored leather boots.
