OBITUARIES

MRS. ESTHER LOUISE DOOLEY

Deceased December 29, 1988

Mrs. Esther Louise Dooley, Route 1, Cushing passed away Thursday Dec 29, 1988 in the Stillwater Medical Center at the age of 82.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Dec 31 at 10:30 a.m. in hte First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard Koeppe, pastor, officiating
Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery with services under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dooley will lie in state at the church prior to the service and the casket will not be opened following the services.
The daughter of the late Henry C. and Sophia (Pauli) Smith, she was born in Lincoln County, south of Cushing, and was reared in the Avery community, attending school in the Lone Oak School and graduating from Cushing High School with the class of 1926.
She was united in marriage to William Dooley on Aug. 4, 1926 in Sapulpa. The couple established their first home here and she lived here all of her life. Mr. Dooley preceded her in death on May 7, 1984.
Mrs Dooley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, belonging also to the Church Circle, and helped with various church functions and activities. She also belonged to the Friendly Twenty Club.
Survivors include two sons: Joe Dooley of Seattle, Washington and Sam Dooley of Houston; two daughters: Mrs. Harold (Betty) Lowe of Cushing and Mrs. Dale (Peggy ) Remington of Sumatra, Indonesia; one brother: Clarence Smith of Cushing; three sisters: Ethel Dudley and Orpha Fisher, both of Cushing, and LaVerne Blair of Edmond; four grand-children: Michael and Matthew of Sumatra, Indonesia, Paula Dooley of Houston and Sue Lowe of Oklahoma City; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers: Frank, Walter, George, Henry, Monte and Charlie Smith; and two sisters: Clara Johnston and Lena Burden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
