JOE TOM DOOLEY Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:00 a.m. , Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Paul Obi Amaliri officiatiating. Interment followed at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing with Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing. Joe was born on July 5, 1942 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Virgil and Ruth (Bean) Dooley. He grew up in Cushing and graduated in 1960. Joe married Catherine Gappa on February 9, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Oklahoma City. They moved to Oklahoma City where he began in the banking business. They later moved to Garden Plain, Kansas. He helped in establishing the Garden Plain State Bank, working as vice-president for many years. Joe enjoyed golfing, fishing and gardening. Joe is survived by his sons Stephen Dooley and Cyndi of Goddard, Kansas, Philip Dooley and wife Shelly of Garden Plain, Kansas, daughters Deborah Pauly and husband Brian of Viola, Kansas, Janette Jecha and husband Tom of Viola, Kansas, brothers Jim Dooley and wife Kay of Sallisaw, Ok., Bill Dooley and wife Nancy of Grove, sister Pat Sneed and husband William of Cushing, fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bobby Dale Dooley.
- Enid News & Eagle - Feb 14, 1995) Funeral services for Victor (Vic) B. Funkhouser, age 52, of Enid, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Waukomis United Methodist Church with Rev. John Houser officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Pawnee Cemetery in Pawnee, OK under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born April 27, 1942 in Pawnee, OK to Roland L. and Jessie Miller Funkhouser. He was raised in Cushing, where he attended and graduated from school. He came to Enid in 1965 from Cushing. He was employed as Utility Foreman for Luckinbills, Inc and has worked for them for 30 years. He was a member of the Waukomis United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Brian and his wife JoNita Funkhouser of Enid, OK; his father, Roland Funkhouser of Crescent, OK; one brother, Ross Funkhouser of Sand Springs, OK; one sister, Kay Dooley of Golden, MO; three grandchildren: Chris Funkhouser, T.J. Garis and Nicole Garis all of Enid, OK. He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
