Procedure for Installing

Glove Compartment Light
on All Model Trucks - 986489

1.   Install bracket in upper left-hand corner us
ing holes and screws provided, and assemble
switch to bracket.

2.   Clip wire to lower flange of instrument pan
el using three clips furnished in package.
(See figure 126.)

3.   Connect wire to dome lamp terminal on light
switch. (See figure 126.)

Approximate Flat Rate Time .2 of an hour.

2. Attach wiring clips in slots in under-side
of panel back of rear seat as shown in fig
ure 128. Insert wire in clips.

3. Strip half inch of insulation from tail lamp
wire in wiring harness (natural with black
tracer) at point "A" splice, solder and tape
compartment lamp wire at this point. Light
switch must be on to have trunk light op
erate. Raising trunk lid automatically turns
"on" light. Lowering lid automatically turns
"off" light.

Approximate Flat Rate Time .1 of an hour.

Luggage Compartment Lamp
on All Model Passenger Cars.

1. Remove cover from luggage compartment
lamp, insert wire through hole provided in
inner panel. Place wire between inner and
outer panels and out through grommet as
shown in figure 128. Attach lamp using the
two self-tapping screws furnished. Insert
grommet and replace lamp cover.
