Vegetables and Potherbs

Vegetables are an important part of a human's (or humanoid's) diet. Some have argued that vegetables were not common in medieval European's diet since there are few written recipe found in text. However vegetables were common in medieval diets. The lack of recipes is most likely due to the fact that how to cook vegetables was common knowledge and valuable parchment was not wasted on writing this down.

Vegetables, often referred to as potherbs, were cooked simply, usually by boiling in a pot, or they were eaten raw. There are usually no elaborate recipe or methods of cooking vegetables, except by gnomes and occasoinally elves.
