The goods are three items: a wooden bowl, a queue/ponytail tied with leather cord, and a bone knife bound by leather cord to a wooden handle. Marissa senses an aura of magic on each of the items, though not a strong one.

Qinghuo tells the characters to meet him at the portal to Gehenna at the corner of Puzzle and Fangtooth the next day.

The next day, the characters are ambushed by a band of Xaositects, wearing green and yellow markings. They dispatch the barbarians among a mob of cheering and jeering Hivers.

They arrive at the portal and wait...

After some time, the characters return to the Green Steel Knife Inn, and discover a band of monks in Qunghuo's room. A short fight ensues, but cooler heads prevail. They discover that these monks, also from the Temple of Flame, seek out Mu Qinghuo for their own, undisclosed reasons.

Unfortunately, all that remains, it seems, of the monk is blood and gristle. Strangely, the three items remain untouched.

The characters pick up their gear, and decide to finish the job...
