It is obvious that the stone Tombs on Dool matches the Towers on Trinnac. Both structures respond to psychic energy, and both are covered in the runes of the Precursor's language.
What is interesting is that each device serves only one function. Each Tomb was required for a mental enhancement machine, while a Tower holds prisoners. The massive amount of material appears rather inefficient compared to the limited amount of functions.
However, existance of the underground lab on Dool reveals yet another aspect of their technology, one more familiar, although extremely focused on biological manipulation.
Again, the purpose and focus of this species, as well as their actual physical form, continues to elude many.

Pa'ata's research reveals that Dool was the colony of a race of beings she has dubbed the "Precursors." Their influence has been felt across this sector of space. They were a culture interested in the expansion of the consciousness and intelligence, and their philosophy and technology reflected this passions.
Pa'ata believes that these Precursors experimented on various species on this sector to produce sentience. However, some disaster befell them, perhaps the Gahvid. All that is left are the Solagar. Whether or not they were a lesser species raised to consciousness, or perhaps the descendants of the Precursors themselves, Pa'ata is unsure.
