Steve and RuthAnne both have enjoyed the Renaissance Fairs through the years and soon after they became a couple they joined the SCA. (Society of Creative Anachronism ) The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre-17th-century European history. So when it was decided there was to be a wedding, a Renaissance wedding was the obvious choice. We hope you enjoy it.

Garb is how period clothing is refered to in the SCA. Garb can be anything from simple peasant wear, to elaborate creations encrusted with jewels. We do not expect anyone to spend a mint to dress in garb. There is no need to. It is just for fun. You can often find great pieces that will do quite nicely in your own closet. Below are some links and photos for inspiration and to give you an idea of what we are talking about.

Loads of links to just about anything you ever wanted to know about the midieval period starting from 600ad to 1600ad.
