The Amakiir Moonblade is a mighty sword. In statistics, it is a +5 keen spell-storing elfshadow vorpal mithral longsword. It can also cast harm (wielder, 1/day, once was heal), and create a globe of invulnerability (centered on wielder, 1/day). It is a beautiful sword, with an engraved leaf pattern on the shiny, mithral blade. This motif is also continued on the pommel, which appears as two thin leaves pointing in opposite directions. The pommel is painted a forest green color with a metallic sheen. The handle is wrapped in somewhat worn, dark gray leather.
This blade is older than empires, as at least six other generations of the Amakiir family have wielded it, including an Elven king, a general, and others, the most recent one over 1,000 years ago. It currently risides in the Ardeep Forest with Quarion, as he is the only member of his family left to do so. Uncharacteristicly, the sword did not go dormant, and has remained working for him even in his undead state and the passing of his living relatives and descendants. It can only be surmised that Corellon probably has something to do with this. Like other moonblades, this sword will severely injure anyone other than Quarion, elf or not, who tries to pick it up.
