Most of Tear consists of lowlands and light woods, divided into sprawling estates between the Tarien nobility. Tear is renown for its horses, and most of its country side is densely populated.
Tairen Society
Channeling of the One Power is forbidden in Tear, and the Tairen High Lords have locked all implements for channeling away in the Stone of Tear. The Stone of Tear is the fortress that guards the River Erinin, and it is said to be impregnable. This belief has lead to the banning of all copies of The Prophecies of the Dragon since they prophecies the fall of the Stone. Tairens are confident and self-assured. Tear is lead by the High Lords, and the difference between noble and commoner is pronounced.
