Zebras Srike Again
I find it totally ironic that our Super Bowl quest was once again determined by the part time idiots in the striped shirts. To just focus on this game for a moment, isnt it funny how it was called a fumble by the ref standing right next to the action, but another official says lets review it so we can see if it is possible to screw Al Davis and the Raiders again. As most of you know, only the officials can ask for a review in the last two minutes. And of course they did. Now, the last time I checked, the only way a play can be over turned is with clear and conclusive evidence against what was called on the field. No Patriot fan could even lie about that one. How can you say it was conclusive to over turn the call on the field. That is right, you cant. So now we have it called correctly on the field and a Hired Professinal Refferee looks at the video and determines that it was not a fumble. He does us a great favor and quotes us from the rule book about some rule that no one has ever heard of about regaining control of the football and that is not the point, because even that is tainted.
The Rulebook Was In Our Favor
Forgot for a second that I think it is a stupid misinterpreted rule, lets go see how it works in our favor. If you believe everything they say about why they over turned the call. Let check out what the rule says. Rule 3, Section 21, Article 2, Note 2 of the NFL rule book: "...any intentional forward movement of [the passer's] arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. Ok, so tell me, what quarterbacks out there stand in the pocket and tuck a ball against their side underneath the armpit of the throwing hand like a running back does and still intend to throw. THe answer is none. But that is an opinion now lets talk facts, what constitutes bringing it to his body. This is where we got them. Any part of the body is considered the body according to the rule book, since quarterbacks usually never tuck a ball all the way in, it is considered that he has regained control and is not attempting a throw when he has brought the ball down to his body or has brought the ball to his none throwing hand which is how quarterbacks stand preparing to throw. Walt Coleman, the first liar that we will bring up states this. "Walt Coleman: while Brady was trying to tuck the ball, his arm was moving forward, thus the play was ruled an incomplete pass. First lie, the ball wasnt moving forward, it was not only moving down but also side to side from the right to the left. Something he had to see on replay. Next point for our dear Ref, He went on to lie some more when he said that Brady had pumped the ball, appearing to try tucking it away, when Woodson knocked the football loose. "When I got over to the replay monitor and looked it was obvious that his arm was coming forward, he was trying to tuck the ball and they just knocked it out of his hand. His hand was coming forward, which makes it an incomplete pass." Let see Mr Coleman, So you say that he had pumped the ball which gives him no forward pass rights under the rule because he has not attempted to pass but he then goes on to say that he was tucking the ball in with a forward motion. Please tell me HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO THAT? How can you tuck a ball in and be going forward at the same time. He is the ref in charge of the game and the field, He thought it was a legitimate call when the official made it to let the ruling stand. But miraculasly after being summoned to the reply booth, he saw something and some physical acts that are not possible and that led him to over turn the call. Television replays showed Brady bringing the ball in without moving his arm forward.
Asked to explain what it would have taken for it to be ruled a fumble, Coleman said, "He would have had to have brought it all the way in and got it all the way underneath his arm in order for it (to be a fumble)." Please show me where in the rule books it says that specifically. That would mean that all you have to do if you are a quarterback in the NFL is take the ball from center, pump fake once, and then you have a free pass. The quarterback could run all around the pocket or outside the tackles holding the ball in one hand and has no fear of getting stripped because earlier, he pumped faked. Give me a break. No quarterback tucks the ball back in underneath their arm if they dont know they are getting hit or running. Quarterbacks dont stand that way. But look at the video. He clearly brings the ball down to his waste area, then has two hands on the ball at the same time, Please tell me what quarterbacks are in a throwing motion from this position. Case Closed. Their own rules and interpretations are in our favor with looking at the replay. How did this idiot see something else?
Lost My Respect
After the game the commentators on CBS totally loss my respect. When talking about the play Mike Ditka was still insisting that Brady was passing the ball and his arm was in a forward motion. What game was he at? Jerry Glanville ranted and raved about what the rule book said, Even when thier fellow sports commentator stated that Brady touching the ball with his left hand constituted control, they wouldnt even listen to him. Whos payroll are these two on? It was blatant as can be. By the way, each of the idiots also picked the Raiders to lose.
Another Nice Role Model
As usual the Nfl and their staff of entertainment consultants played up the Tom Brady, Quarterback with the All American looks as the underdog that rose to the top. Basically saying, that he is a example to follow and if you work hard, someday you might be an NFL Quarterback too. A true hero. Well let me tell you, what I want my kids to be like is far from Brady, He sat up on camera for us all to see and straight out lied. He even chuckled as he was saying it because he knew he was lying. I knew I was throwing the ball," Brady said. "I was trying to get rid of the ball. I'm glad they ruled it the way they did."
I saw him saw that lame story over seven different times and he stuck to that story and was laughing every time he said it. Finally a reporter called him on it and asked him, Why are you answering like that with a chuckle in your voice, is that how it happened. A true answer would have come right out. But Tommy Boy paused and then replied whatever happened happened and we made the best of our opportunitys. Wow and that came from a college educated man. In other words, hell no he wasnt throwing the ball. Nice role model CBS. Players Comments No explanation from Coleman or the league will satisfy Oakland. "I don't understand how that play is looked at," Raiders coach Jon Gruden said. "But I thought it was a fumble." Woodson, who had as good a look at the play as anybody on the field, was far less judicious, saying simply "It's bull----. I thought it was bull---- call. It never should have been overturned. "Unbelievable that (Coleman) could sit there and look at it that many times and still get the wrong call," Woodson added. "He pumped the ball, brought it back down. Maybe he wanted to bring it back up. Ball came out, game over," Woodson said. "It kind of took the air out of a lot of guys. We knew the game was over. We were celebrating." Jerry Rice couldn't hide the disappointment in his voice. "I think we did enough to win this game," he said, "It just didn't work out that way. I'll let you guys say why." "I feel like we had one taken away from us," Oakland's Jerry Rice said. Phantom Calls If i hear another site or publication try to justify this wrong doing by stating that the Patriots got robbed in 1976,I am liable to puke. Their some vast differences such as, the Raiders got stopped on third down when they called the penalty on the Patriots, dont you think at the end of a playoff game that the Raiders were going to go for it on fourth down. So their wasnt a change of possession issue at all. Also 25 years ago a normal human being made a call with what he believed to be true for whatever reason. With the technology that gave him every angle to see what happened , a referee went up to the replay both and over turned a call made on the field incorrectly with no excuse for this. That is not payback, that is criminal. Now What Ok, you ask for it, you got it.This is proof that we got robbed. This pic clearly shows both hands, the ball lowered already and towards the body. This was not a forward pass, Woodson has not hit the ball yet and this also dispells the notion that Woodson did a helmet to helmet cheap shot on Brady Bunch. Come on Paul, tell us how we are wrong this time. I knew someone had the pic, I saw it happen live. CBS cant stop frame anything they want. So why didnt they have this pic? They did just like the rest of them. But obviously they were told to pay a price and they sold out their integrity to look good for the commissioners office. I Have heard about the conspirecy for years but never gave it any thought. I dont just know it now. It as been drilled into my head the last two games. How can the officials call one penalty on our opponents during both our previous games. And that one ws caused by a player that ran into Woodson after he already called for a fair catch. They only called that one because they had to. Big Cory of raiderstildeath.comBig Cory of raiderstildeath.com
